About

There are many game series within the RPG genre that could be considered the grandfather of modern RPG’s. The retro Fallout series is one, Baldur’s Gate, Earthbound and Final Fantasy are others. However, we would argue that the grand daddy of them all, is the TES series. This franchise began way back in 1994 and since then, the series has only gone from strength to strength, expanding on the rich lore of Tamriel, offering some of the most fun and varied game mechanics around and providing some of the most memorable gaming moments ever. So for all these reasons and more, we decided to create, Scrolls Guided.

Here at Scrolls Guided, we have a team of TES super fans who have played every single game old and new that has ever been released under the Elder Scrolls umbrella. Our contributors have been all over Tamriel, have fought to close shut the jaws of Oblivion, became the Dragonborn, fought alongside comrades in ESO, and have spent countless hours simply exploring these impressive worlds on horseback. We know Tamriel better than we know our own reality, so let us help you write your name in the history books!

Our Goal

Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for all things Elder Scrolls. Whether you are a player that wants to reminisce about the days of Arena or Daggerfell. Or you want to get acquainted with the more modern classics like Oblivion and Skyrim, we will have something to suit your needs.

Our goal is to be more than just a wiki page detailing quest road maps and item locations. We want to be much more, a dedicated TES hub where our passionate experts lead the content and provide guides that showcase first-hand knowledge that only a true TES player would know. We want to offer hot-takes, killer insights, fun anecdotes and hidden secrets so that you get the most out of your time here at Scrolls Guided!

We aim to be an all-inclusive TES hub for beginners new and old. So whether you have taken down Alduin and lived to tell the tale, or you are just starting your Elder Scrolls adventure, we have all the answers and information you need to make the adventure a fun and stress-free one.

Plus, we aim to be on-trend, always. So if there is a new game, a new expansion, a new trend within the online titles like ESO, or anything of this nature, we intend to be the first to hear about it and pass that information on to you in rapid time.

What We Offer

The content we offer will be somewhat of a mixed bag. Primarily, we offer guides that help players get started within the world of The Elder Scrolls and continue to offer detailed guides about every aspect of each game. So whether you need help taking down a certain enemy, want to know the best way to go about completing a quest, want to know more about a location or just about anything else, we will be your guide.

Scrolls Guided is an encyclopedia of Elder Scrolls lore and content. We provide a wide range of topics that aim to enrich your TES experience and act as supplementary reading to enhance your playthrough. We offer content like Quest guides, location guides, character bios, guild guides, mod guides, rank lists, comparison articles, reviews, interviews, opinion pieces, and much more!

Plus, we will also offer more opinion-based content too. Our writers are TES nerds just like you and will give their own views on the series as a whole. We will compare the best games, quests, locations, weapons, items, spells and characters in the series, we will discuss the best and worst aspects of each game and maybe we will finally settle the Morrowind vs Oblivion vs Skyrim debate. Who knows?

How We Operate

We operate smoothly and we have to give credit to our amazing team for this. We are a band of TES nerds that not only share a passion for the series and everything it offers, but also decades of gaming experience and years of writing experience. Making our team the perfect candidates for the job and our content so darn readable.

Then we also have a group of dedicated editors that do their utmost to uphold the high standards we set for our content. All work is formatted perfectly, grammatically correct and factually accurate before we send it along the content conveyor belt.

Then, of course, we have you. Our fans are the lifeblood of this website and without your suggestions and feedback, we would never grow and improve at the rate we do. So we urge you to get in contact if you have any pointers you want to send our way.

Our Team

Now, it’s time to meet our team. We value our team of writers so much as they have a wealth of TES knowledge. They are all heroes of Kvatch, Dragonborn Kin, Rulers of The Shivering Isles, Archmages and Dark Brotherhood Listeners. So when it comes to producing great content, it’s second nature. Here is our team down below:

Callum Marshall – Managing Editor

Callum is the gaming managing editor and a very keen Elder Scrolls fan. While overseeing the day-to-day running of the site, you’ll commonly see Callum carve out some time to produce some content on his favorite RPG series and lead from the front. Callum has been around the block within the gaming industry, working as an Editor-in-chief for a number of well-respected gaming outlets, he has worked as a games tester, he has gaming podcast experience, has worked in gaming PR. Basically, you name it, and Callum was probably there or somewhere on the periphery. Outside of gaming, Callum loves skateboarding despite his immediate family telling him to grow up and he is also known to watch the British sitcom Peep Show on repeat and will go toe-to-toe with anyone on Peep Show trivia.

Though not an experienced modder (Yet), Xavier’s pet projects include mods for Census and Excise Office, Abolitionist, and House Indoril questlines.
